Speech Recognition Headsets
The major key to success with any speech recognition system, is having a good quality headset, and positioning it correctly.
The microphone element, must never be in front of your mouth. It would catch the pressure of your breath, and make recognition errors. You should always place the element, two fingers width from the corner of your mouth. Make sure it is directly pointed to your mouth.

This Sennheiser 900 wireless unit, is worn over the ear, with a very comfortable ear loop and proper balance to make it comfortable to wear all day.
It also features the ability to charge a spare battery, which can be swapped, while in conversation, for continuous talking without interuptions.
This is a dual mode wireless unit, that can be used as a Bluetooth microphone, to connect with the computer. That is especially convenient for use with tablet laptops. It can also be used as a 900 MHz microphone, allowing the user to be up to 300 feet away from the base, while talking to the computer or on the phone.

91 Corded Headset, this headset has excellent noise canceling features, cutting out background noise. It also has a very bendable microphone boom. This is an extremely important feature, to allow you to correctly position the microphone element at the corner of your mouth, to provide the the correct position to provide the best possible recognition.

Notice on the top of the recorder, there are two microphone elements pointing to the left are right, and there is a microphone in the middle. You would dictate into the middle microphone to do your transcription. But you can set it with a sliding bar just below the microphone, to record stereo through the side microphones. This feature is great if you need to record a group discussion to be reviewed later.
